Downtown Dubai is a master-planned, mixed-use district developed by Emaar Properties, built around the Burj Khalifa — the world's tallest building — and The Dubai Mall. The community combines high-rise residential towers, office space and retail within walking distance of each other, and sits adjacent to Business Bay and a short drive from DIFC.

Notable landmarks within the district include the Burj Khalifa observation decks, The Dubai Mall, the Dubai Fountain on Burj Khalifa Lake, Dubai Opera, and the Old Town — a lower-rise, Arabian-style pocket of the district around Souk Al Bahar.

Property types are predominantly apartments and serviced residences in high-rise towers — ranging from Old Town's lower-rise buildings to premium and branded residences attached to hotels such as The Address and Armani.
